Sonoma Garden Park was donated to the City of Sonoma by Pauline Bond, a retired school teacher, in the early 1970′s. She generously left seven acres of land to the City under the proviso that the land remains a public park. Today the Park is swimming with biodiversity of flora and fauna, including one of the oldest oak trees in Sonoma County. Now the Sonoma Ecology Center manages the property, and has a twenty year lease on the Park – annual rent is $1!
Year round, our Harvest Market is open from 9:00 – 1:00 on Saturdays, where we sell an abundance of fresh fruits, vegetables, flower bouquets, and honey from our bee hives. All our food is grown sustainably without using any harmful chemicals.
The Park also provides workshops, field trips, tours, and is a beautiful setting for an outdoor gathering or event. If you would like additional information, or to sign up for our monthly E-Newsletter, sign on to the Sonoma Ecology Center or send us a note in the below form.
